Build & CMS
Webflow
Webflow is a website platform that combines a visual design tool, a CMS and hosting. Sites are built visually but produce real HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and can be edited by non-developers after launch.
The distinction from page builders is that Webflow exposes the actual box model, classes and CSS properties rather than hiding them behind presets. Someone who understands how the web works can build in Webflow the way they would in code, with the same control, and hand the result to a marketing team who can then change text, images and CMS content without touching structure.
Its strengths are the combination: design, CMS and hosting in one place, managed infrastructure with no plugins to patch, and an editor that lets a team publish without a developer. Its limits are equally clear: it is for marketing sites, not applications; collection item counts depend on the plan; and complex logic belongs elsewhere.
I build in Webflow because it removes the handoff where most projects lose their intent. The person who designed the page implements it, and the person who owns the content can change it. That is the practical reason, and it matters more than any feature.
