Webflow CMS
Webflow CMS is the content system built into Webflow. Content is organised into collections with defined fields, and collection pages are designed once as templates that every item flows through.
A collection is a content type: blog posts, projects, team members, property listings. Each has fields you define, such as title, summary, image, date or a reference to another collection. The template for that collection is designed visually, binding each field to an element, and every item then renders through it.
What makes it different from a general-purpose CMS is that the person designing the template is usually the person defining the fields. That closes the gap where a developer builds a structure marketing then has to work around. It also means the structure can be wrong in a way nobody notices until the fiftieth item, which is why the model deserves thought before the first collection is created.
The limits are plan-dependent: number of collections, items per collection and fields per collection. A resource centre that publishes weekly can reach them within a couple of years, so the intended volume is worth checking against the plan before the model is fixed.
